The Taco Lady will be back (as a PTSA fundraiser)!   You can purchase a plate of Tacos (or quesadilla), rice, and beans.
All of our LCMS groups/clubs will have food, snacks, and drinks for sale as a fundraiser.  
Dr. Stanley will present on the bond initiative in the MPR before class visits begin.

iPad Meeting

The iPad meeting for the 2014-2015 school year was held on Thursday, September 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m in the LCMS MPR.
Distribution of devices took place at the end of the information portion of the meeting.   
Parents, please check your email inbox if you did not attend this meeting, and Dr. Stanley will follow up with your student.
Students were chosen for the District's lease-to-own and borrow program via lottery due to the limited quantity of iPads available.  
Many students and families elected to "Bring Your Own" iPad (BYOi).

Los Coyotes Student Body Government Leadership Program

Welcome to Los Coyotes Middle School

Welcome to Los Coyotes Middle School for the 2014-2015 school year!    My name is Dr. Christina Stanley, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Los Coyotes Middle School.  

We are pleased to partner with you on your student's educational journey.  The staff at Los Coyotes is committed to the education and development of well rounded, contributing members of society.  We provide an academically challenging environment for all students, extensive extracurricular programs, balanced literacy strategies, and leveled math classes to support students' growth potential.     

We are implementing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the curriculum and teachers are collaborating to bring deeper levels of knowledge, understanding, and meaning into the daily classroom experience.  

 This year’s theme: “YOGOWYPI”: You Only Get Out What You Put In

*Students can have a great year and get involved at Los Coyotes Middle School through WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Mentoring, Leadership, Sports, the Centurion Honors Magnet, Academic Pentathlon, Photography and Video Production, Concert or Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, World Percussion, Science Fair, the Medical and Forensic Magnet, Tall Flags, Cheerleading, Fencing, National Junior Honor Society, and AVID club.
*Students can build capacity and be people of Character because Character Counts at LCMS! We focus each month on our target Character traits (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship), host a monthly pancake breakfast to recognize outstanding students, and give front of the line passes or extra time at lunch, and more!
*Students can help create a positive campus environment and put a stop to bullying and bad behavior around them by being kind and considerate, standing up and speaking out when someone is being unkind or inconsiderate, observing the Character Counts! Pillars, and getting the assistance of a staff member when needed.
*Students can be active participants in their education through accessing PowerSchool to check grades, missing work, and attendance. Students can follow up by talking with their teachers. Students can also join PTSA!
*Students can and should seek help when needed—through tutoring for academics or the guidance counselor for any other issues. We offer additional support for our English Learners. Support in Math and English for all students is also available through iReady and Study Skills. Tutoring is available to all students before school and after school in all core subjects.
*Parents can get involved by joining our PTSA, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your student's education through accessing PowerSchool, checking your student's homework and backpack, and emailing or talking to teachers.
