Welcome to Arturo A. Sanchez Elementary School

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! Our extremely talented and caring staff works diligently toward ensuring that Sanchez Elementary is a place where students achieve to their greatest potential both academically as well as socially.

It is our goal to create responsible and engaged citizens who are academically prepared for the challenges they will be facing in middle and high school as well as college. That is why when you walk into our doors you will be greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. Students will be engaged in inquiry based learning either independently or in small groups.Students and staff will act with kindness and caring toward each other. You’ll also see that students and staff will display excitement about learning in each and every classroom.

We are fortunate to be a school where parents and the community are also very involved in ensuring student success.Parents can be seen helping in classrooms, volunteering in the office and in the library, and being involved in groups such as PTA, School Site Council and ELAC. Parents also attend workshops that are offered in the cafeteria throughout the year.

There are various events and activities that students, families and the community are able to participate in. Some of those activities include monthly awards assemblies, our Halloween parade, the celebration of Red Ribbon Week, Career Day and Read Across America, among many others.

We welcome you to visit our school to see how we work toward Success for All Students!
