The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides an opportunity for eligible, low-income students to receive, at no cost to parents, academic tutoring known as Supplemental Educational Services (SES).
Eligible students are those who attend Program Improvement Schools in year 2 or above and qualify for the Free and Reduced-Priced Lunch Program. These free tutoring services are offered after school, in the evening,or on weekends by organizations and agencies approved by the California State Board of Education. The District and your child’s school are committed to improving achievement for all students. Our number one goal is to close the achievement gap and provide all students with many opportunities to improve their academic achievement. We hope that parents of all eligible students will take advantage of this opportunity to receive free tutoring for their students. Please review the brochure/information provided to learn more about this program.
