Corvallis Middle School maintains a safe and positive school environmentin part due to our effective uniform policy and practices.  As educators, we see the benefit to theoverall morale and safety at our school because of the uniform policy.  While Corvallis does not requirestudents to purchase the school uniform, we are asking families to support useof the Corvallis Middle School uniform.

The school uniform consists of blue shorts or pants, such as blue jeans, and a burgundy polo shirt with the school logo.  For your convenience, Corvallis uniform shirts are availablefor purchase at our cost in the school office for $10.00 each.  Parents who chose to purchase schoolshirts elsewhere are strongly encouraged to select burgundy collared polo typeshirts to support our safe school environment.

All students are required to follow the school dress code, which consists of the following:

The Board of Education requires all students attending district schools to be suitably groomed and to wear clothing that is neat, clean, safe and appropriate for school activities. Items of dress which are known to support or encourage gang involvement, drug or alcohol use, criminal or immoral behavior, profanity, or which lack of modesty are not permitted. Students and parents are to understand that a school is an educational institution and that proper attire, footwear and grooming are required at all times. Although the school is responsible for enforcing the dress code, it is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that students come to school properly groomed and attired.” Norwalk – La Mirada Unified School District Policies and Bylaws Board Policy 5595
