SELF-DIRECTED LEARNERS
Indicators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students will:
- Evidence future graduate plans and show sustained education, as confirmed by a survey indicating post-graduate studies
- Complete a four-year plan of high school studies
- Embark on career path, optimally demonstrating interest in internships and ROP
- Plan for the future by setting priorities and achievable goals
PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY
Indicators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students will:
- Create, and engage in, campus and multicultural experiences
- Form and/or support a number of partnerships in the community
- Practice a higher standard of ethics
- Foster a positive campus environment
INDIVIDUAL CRITICAL THINKERS AND PROBLEM SOLVERS
Indicators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students will:
- Evaluate events within context
- Construct and test hypotheses
- Demonstrate decision-making skills
- Participate in AP, honors, and GATE programs, thus increasing their own growth
RESPONSIBLE LEARNERS EARNING A GRADE OF C OR BETTER
Indicators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students will:
- Have grade printouts and transcripts which show achievement of grades of C or higher
- Take full advantage of available learning opportunities to improve graduation status (Summer School, Adult School, ROP)
- Meet or exceed the district-wide requirements for graduation
- Challenge themselves to turn average to exceptional
INFORMATION PROCESSORS AND COMMUNICATORS
Indicators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students will:
- Collect and present information using appropriate resources
- Identify points of view
- Write effectively on a given topic
- Give an oral presentation
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions
