PRINCIPAL’S WELCOME

Welcome Eagle Family,

As we enter the 2012-2013 school year, I am honored to be joining John H. Glenn High School as Principal at such a monumental time in the school’s history—over 50 years of service to the community.  Along with a talented faculty and staff, as well as a highly supportive district, I am excited about the privilege to serve the students, families and the entire Glenn HS community as we continue to develop ways to improve the quality of education our students receive.

I am committed to ensuring every stakeholder is focused on providing the following components of success for our students:
·       College and Career Readiness
·       Rigorous and engaging instruction
·       Use of data to inform instruction and academic interventions
·       Use of technology to enhance instruction and the learning experience
·       Stakeholder collaboration in the decision-making process
·       A safe and nurturing educational environment

Meeting these goals will require unwavering attention and commitment with a “Students First” attitude on the part of the entire John Glenn family.  I know many of you share my enthusiasm and optimism for the coming year, and we will celebrate many achievements together in the year ahead.

Bienvenidos aguilas,
 
Al entrar en el año escolar 2012-2013, me siento honrado el ser parte de la escuela John H. Glenn como Director en un tiempo monumental de la historia de la escuela con más de 50 años de servicio a la comunidad, junto con un talentoso personal docente y administrativo, al igual con un distrito muy solidario, estoy entusiasmado el tener el privilegio de servir a los estudiantes, las familias y a toda la comunidad de la escuela Glenn mientras continuamos desarrollando maneras para mejorar la calidad de  educación que nuestros estudiantes reciben.
Me he comprometido a garantizar a cada uno de los interesados el proporcionar los siguientes componentes de éxito para nuestros estudiantes:
 
·      Disposición Universitaria y profesional
·      Instrucción rigurosa y atractiva
·      Uso de datos para informar instrucción e intervención académica
·      Colaboración con las partes interesadas en el proceso de toma de decisiones
·      Un seguro y acogedor ambiente educativo
 
Alcanzar estas metas se requiere constante atención y compromiso con los “Estudiantes” y buena actitud por parte de toda la familia John Glenn. Sé que muchos de ustedes comparten mi entusiasmo y optimismo para el año que viene, y celebraremos muchos logros juntos en el año venidero.
