Welcome to the Business Academy!
Our Mission: The Norwalk High School Business Academy teaches the hard and soft skills required to be successful in today's workplace. Some of the subjects we cover include: accounting, computer programming, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, government, history, law, marketing, psychology and sociology. Within these subjects, our Academy focuses on higher order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creation. In terms of developing leaders, we help students make sense of information and discover new ideas, communicate a compelling vision, drive toward goals despite setbacks, and seek out learning opportunities.
To get a feel for the Business Academy and what we teach, we recommend watching a few videos listed under "Harvard Business" videos, in the left column. These videos are only a few minutes long, but expain an important business concept in simple terms.
In order to graduate with Business Academy honors, earn an Academy lapel pin, and join a fellowship of alumni, students must complete a minimum of 4 Business Academy courses with a 3.0 GPA or better.
